THE CLIENT:
Maris Pearl uses naturally occurring pearls to raise awareness and funding for marine conservation.
Established in Hawaii in 2018, Maris Pearl are a brand led, run, and inspired by women. They believe that we are all shaped by water, just like the organic shape of their pearls, and hope that their pieces encourage wearers to celebrate their intrinsic connection to the ocean.
Our Brief:
Our core mission was to create a unique and inspiring digital platform for Maris Pearl that would both reflect the beauty and connect their customers with the brand’s purpose. We aimed to create an easily navigable hub for the brand’s content via an online journal, and to design a website that functioned and worked just as beautifully on desktop as it did on mobile.

The Solution:
We used subtle animations and videos to create the feeling of waves throughout, mirroring the natural rhythm of the tide, whilst also introducing a colour gradient that deepens in tone as you scroll to reflect the oceans depth. The result is a truly immersive site that encourages you to visit again and again.
